Ronix definitely took it to the next level with the Relik Boot weighin’ in at a 1/3 the weight and height for ‘09.  I had the privilege of putting them on last year when they were still in the making and new they were going to be the best thing to happen to bindings… They are baseless now giving you that lower center of gravity-which in turn gives you that balance necessary to stick that switch 9… anyway enough of me rambling, go to Ronix’s website and check ‘em out..

If you haven’t seen a copy of The Standerd yet, it’s definitely worth checking out.  The photo journalistic style of the publication is out of this world.  Featuring unique shots of the worlds best riders and well-written articles about the sport by those who are in love with it.

So Keith Lyman is now riding for Liquid Force this season. With the new company comes a Lyman signature board. The board is to be released in a few days on June 1st. A while back in March, Keith posted on his blog some shots of the ‘08 lineup. A few days ago he posted with a different look for his board with a flat black finish and lyrics on them. We’ll see what happens but the new board looks sick. Here’s a clip of an interview by wakeboarder.com:

My new board is a fast board - that won’t slow down. I really like to Ollie off the wakes so my board has huge Ollie power with smooth landings. I wanted all the features of a pro level board designed specifically for me but I wanted a board that was user friendly for all levels of riders. One of the best features of my board is the fin configuration. I created a fin setup that allows the rider to change the ride of the board. Everyone can find a setup they will like from my board.

Music is a huge part of my life so the 35/39/43 boards all have lyrics on them. The lyrics have to mean something to me. The 35 board is a black/blue board and has a song by Social Distortion called ‘Faithless’ which is a very personal song to me. …read more
